It’s refresh time for Toyota’s compact Corolla Cross in North America too following its global reveal earlier today. While the changes are subtle, they do bring a few welcome upgrades. Key highlights include a redesigned front end for the Hybrid model and a larger, 10.5-inch infotainment display.

Starting with the hybrid variant, it adopts a new design for the front bumper, featuring a body-color grille featuring a honeycomb pattern. This mirrors the styling of the facelifted Thai-spec model that was introduced last year. A similar treatment has been applied to the European-spec Corolla Cross, and will likely find its way into the Japanese model in the coming months.

More: Next-Gen Toyota Corolla Cross Could Look Like An EV But Think Like A Prius

The gas-powered Corolla Cross sees more modest updates. The grille has been restyled, giving the front end a bit of extra ruggedness, though the bodywork remains largely unchanged. Toyota has introduced new options for the 18-inch alloy wheels, offering a dark gray finish on the XLE trim and a gloss black finish on the XSE. There’s also a new Cavalry Blue exterior color, which can be paired with a Jet Black roof for a two-tone look.

No GR Sport Trim for US

Sadly, US buyers won’t be able to get their hands on the more aggressive-looking Corolla Cross GR Sport trim, which was just unveiled for the European market. The GR Sport adds a Gazoo Racing body kit and a sharper chassis setup but, disappointingly, doesn’t include any extra power – if that offers any consolation. Still, it would have been a welcome addition to the range.

Larger Infotainment Screen and Enhanced Tech Features

Inside, the biggest change is the new 10.5-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system, which comes standard on the XLE and XSE trims, with the option available on the LE and SE trims. This new display is a significant upgrade from the 8-inch unit in the previous model, providing a more modern feel. The 10.5-inch screen is paired with a 7-inch or 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, depending on the trim.

     var adpushup = window.adpushup = window.adpushup || {que:[]};
