2026 Corvette Trades Buttons for Screens

  • The 2026 Chevy Corvette interior ditches the wall of buttons for a three-screen layout.
  • It features a larger 14-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.7-inch infotainment screen.
  • The redesigned center console houses new tech features, including wireless charging.

If there’s one thing many C8 Corvette owners weren’t fond of, it was the so-called “wall of buttons” between the driver and passenger. Well, Chevrolet was clearly listening and has responded with the 2026 Corvette, bringing some significant interior upgrades across the entire lineup. From the Stingray to the ZR1, every model gets a fresh new three-screen layout, fewer buttons, and a range of new interior trim options.

var adpushup = window.adpushup = window.adpushup || {que:[]};
adpushup.que.push(function() {
if (adpushup.config.platform !== “DESKTOP”){
adpushup.triggerAd(“0f7e3106-c4d6-4db4-8135-c508879a76f8”);
} else {
adpushup.triggerAd(“82503191-e1d1-435a-874f-9c78a2a54a2f”);
}
});

The heart of the update is the new digital cockpit, which features a more integrated 12.7-inch infotainment display with modernized graphics and a larger, 14-inch digital instrument cluster. Not to be left out, there’s also a new 6.6-inch touchscreen mounted just to the left of the steering wheel. These driver-centric displays have allowed Chevrolet’s designers to ditch that infamous button wall on the center console, opting instead for a much cleaner and more streamlined look.

Mirna Bajer, Senior Program Manager at General Motors, said that the driver will have the ability to “highly customize the gauges across the three screens”. Despite the fact that the number of button has been greatly reduced, Brian Stoeckel, Creative Design Manager, said that having “really good physical controls” was a priority for the designers.

The drive mode selector has been relocated, which opens up space for a wireless charging pad beneath the touchscreen, complete with a cover to keep your smartphone in place. The volume knob has been increased in size and illuminated at the base, while HVAC controls have been moved to the base of the touchscreen for better accessibility.

Smarter, Sleeker, and More Convenient

The redesigned center console isn’t just about looks, as it also offers practical improvements. Two cup holders now sit within ambient lighting, a USB-C port is included, and there’s a grab handle for the passenger.

The Performance Data Recorder (PDR) has also received an upgrade. Thanks to the larger screens, it now offers more in-depth track data and lap videos, which sounds perfect for that guy who’s always trying to set a new lap record, even if it’s just in his mind.

} else {
adpushup.triggerAd(“9b1169d9-7a89-4971-a77f-1397f7588751”);
}
});

Finally, the Performance App that was introduced in the 2024 Corvette E-Ray, has been improved and expanded to all 2026 Corvette models. This provides access to live horsepower and torque flow, a G-force gauge, acceleration timers, and additional temperature gauges for the tires, oil, engine coolant, and transmission fluid.

New Color Combinations

Corvette buyers have more color choices than ever before. Now, in addition to the standard interior hies, you can get four new color schemes: Sky Cool and Medium Ash Gray with Habanero accents, Santorini Blue, Very Dark Atmosphere (essentially a mix of chocolate brown, jet black, and natural tan), and Ultimate Suede (Jet Black with Adrenaline Red, Santorini Blue, or Competition Yellow stitching and seatbelts).

If you’re feeling especially adventurous, there’s also the option for an asymmetrical interior colorway, combining Jet Black on the driver’s side with an Adrenaline Red passenger seat, which is a first for the C8.

For the ZR1, the new carbon fiber frame around the digital instrument cluster comes standard. However, if you’re driving an E-Ray or Z06, you can opt to add it as an upgrade. A standout feature is the electrochromic targa roof glass, which lets you choose between full, medium, and low tint options. Lastly, the cupholders are made of real aluminum in the 2LT/2LZ and 3LT/3LZ trims.

No Changes To The Exterior Design

Despite the significant interior upgrades, the exterior of the 2026 Corvette remains unchanged from its predecessor. That said, there are subtle tweaks to the exterior trim, including two new paint colors, called Roswell Green Metallic and Blade Silver Metallic, and an asymmetrical center stripe, available in either Edge Red or Carbon Flash.

While the powertrain lineup and chassis setup remain unchanged, the optional ZTK performance package now includes the largest carbon-ceramic brakes ever fitted to a production Corvette. These feature 10-piston front and 6-piston rear calipers for improved braking performance.

Note that the C8 Corvette was originally introduced in 2019, with the Z06 following in 2022, the electrified E-Ray arriving in 2023, and the ZR1 performance flagship in 2024.

Pricing and Availability

Details on the availability of the 2026 Corvette lineup will follow later this year, together with the new pricing catalogue. Until then, you can check out every angle of the new interior in the video here.
